RESTORE: SERVING LOCALLY AND ABROAD

When Hurricane Milton swept through Tampa Bay, it left a path of destruction that displaced families and devastated homes. In response, RESTORE, a Tampa-based ministry, stepped in to bring hope and relief to those in need. Their efforts have been nothing short of extraordinary.

Partnering with Mercy Chefs, RESTORE has served over 2,000 hot meals to families and first responders. They also provided an additional 700 meals independently, ensuring no one in their reach went hungry. But RESTORE’s impact didn’t stop with food. Through 53 service deployments, their teams have tackled critical projects like tree removal, flood-damaged home demolitions, and debris clearance—offering practical help to single parents, veterans, and elderly residents overwhelmed by the storm’s aftermath.

RESTORE’s mission extends beyond Tampa. In Puerto Rico, they partnered with a local church, a businessman, and a contractor to turn an empty warehouse into a vibrant community space in just six days. This transformation included a 2,500-square-foot sanctuary, two children’s ministry rooms, two offices, restrooms, a multimedia room, storage, and a disaster relief pantry. What began as an empty shell is now a beacon of hope and resourcefulness for the local community.

From serving hot meals in Florida to constructing a new place of worship in Puerto Rico, RESTORE exemplifies what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ. Their work isn’t just about repairing homes and spaces—it’s about restoring lives and faith.
